What is Hexmoor?
Hexmoor is a one-of-a-kind interactive experience combining immersive theatre, film-like set design, magical special effects and world-class cocktails
Where is the experience?
As the magic world remains unknown to our ordinary world the entrance to Hexmoor is hidden within the entrance to Alcotraz Penitentiary, Unit 11, 3B Rosewood Building, 127 Hackney Rd, London E2 8GY.
Enter Alcotraz and mention to the door staff you are here for Hexmoor. You will secretly be escorted from there.
Can we book different ticket types in the same booking?
Unfortunately you cannot book differing ticket types and everyone in the group is required to book the same ticket type. That being said, as you go through the checkout process on our ‘Apprentice’ or ‘Enchanter’ ticket types you should see the option to add-on a wand which would be the same as what is included within the ‘Sorcerer’ ticket type. When adding on the wand in this way you do not have to add the same quantity as your tickets and can only add 1 if that is your choice.
Can we book for someone who is under 18?
We are afraid the experience is currently an over 18 year-old experience so we would not be able to allow anyone who does not have a valid over 18 ID.
I don't know what date to book, can I buy a gift voucher?
Yes, gift vouchers are available for purchase and make the perfect gift for those who love experiences. Please visit https://hexmoor.co.uk/gift-vouchers/ where you will find the option to choose what ticket type you would like to buy and the quantity. Please note it is one ticket per person.
How long does the experience last?
The experience lasts 1 hour 45 minutes from the start time.
Is there a cloakroom / bag storage?
You will be able to store any coats and small bags within a belongings box for your group within your cell. Please try to avoid bringing larger bags, but if essential, these can be stored.
Will I be in a private cell?
The Hexmoor Prison Cells accommodate approximately 6 guests. As such, if booking as a smaller group of 2, 3 or 4 there is a chance you will be in a shared cell with others.
What size do the jumpsuits go up to?
We have a wide range of jumpsuit sizes from Small right up to 4 x XL.
Can I make a group booking?
Yes, group bookings are possible by adding the desired amount of tickets to your basket when checking out. If you are looking to book as a group of 30+ guests, please get in touch via tickets@hexmoor.co.uk and we will help discuss options.
Can I reschedule my tickets to a new date/time?
Yes it is possible to move your booking to another day or time if we are given appropriate notice depending on your group size. If your group is 5 or less, please provide 48 hours notice prior to your visit. If your group is 6 or more, please provide 96 hours notice prior to your visit. Any purchases made individually will be treated as part of the wider group that they were looking to attend with. If you happen to make your booking within this time period then unfortunately an exchange is not possible. If the appropriate notice applies to your group size then please email tickets@hexmoor.co.uk to complete an exchange.
Are refunds allowed?
Unfortunately, tickets for experiences are non-refundable. Ticket non-refund terms and conditions are agreed to before purchase.
Can I have mocktails instead of cocktails?
Yes, each of our cocktails will be available in a non-alcoholic version.
Is the price different if I am not drinking?
For those not drinking, a special non-alcoholic cocktail will be made for each drink and as such, the price is the same. The experience that unfolds is exactly the same whether drinking alcohol or not.
What if I have an allergy?
At the start of the experience you will be asked to provide any allergies so our team are aware. Please do so at this stage as your drinks can then be tailored to suit your needs.
Is the experience wheelchair friendly?
Yes, we are pleased to say Hexmoor is accessible for wheelchair users. On a couple occassions a few different access routes will need to be taken but the experience will remain the same. Please be sure to inform us in advance if you are a wheelchair user.
Do we need to bring our own liquor?
Unlike other Inventive Productions, such as Alcotraz, there is no need to bring your own liquor to Hexmoor. Everything is included within your ticket price.
What is the nearest tube?
The nearest train station/tube station is Hoxton Overground, only a 2-3 minute walk. Alternatively, Liverpool Street and Old Street stations are only a 20 minute walk, accessible by most underground lines.
